I won!!!

So I completed NaNoWriMo. I totally neglected this tumblr as I just kept my head down and powered through. I finished at 50,448 words but the story is FAR from finished.

I have merely finished BOOK ONE! The story has been extended into THREE books. I am hoping I can keep up my super strong pace with this, then get it edited and start working on putting this out there for you all to consume. Chapter 7 COMPLETE

So I’m already on Chapter 7 and am sitting at 17,878 words. I’ve very pleased with my progress NaNo wise, but I’m hitting a weird feeling with my story. I feel like I have written SO MUCH for nothing of seemingly huge importance to have happened. Gotta get more meaty stuff going on! 

Through according to my friends they have already chosen their ship pairings haha. EVen gave me some ideas! Anyone who wants to read the story just let me know and i’ll add you to the Facebook group

NaNo started

So yeh I fell WAY behind on the meme because i’ve been focusing on NaNo. I’m already two chapters in and over 6,000 words. I’m pretty happy with my progress. Made a little emotional setback after some rude criticism. I started to hate this entire work and almost gave up on it. But I’ve got at least a couple people who believe in it, and I had to remind myself that I’m only writing the bare bones version of this. Editing will come later.


So for now, to add to my “visual listing of characters” I introduce to you, Andrew Emmerson, a shapshifting country boy

 

Day 6 and 7 - NaNoWriMo Meme

So i missed a day, so I’ll do two!

Day 6 - What is your one biggest stressor related to forcing yourself to write at least 50,000 words in a span of 30 days?

Honestly, work. Sometimes I’m just dead from it or dead at it. So it will be hard to really push myself to do it.

Day 7 - Where’s your favorite place to hunker down and write? 

My office. I can put in my headphones, and usually my husband is in the living room playing games. I can just zone out and nothing can touch me. It’s fantastic. 

Day 5 - NaNoWriMo Meme

So i can’t remember if I’m on 4 or 5… but i’ll do 5 anyway!

Day 5 - Name two songs from your playlist that you feel are connected with your novel in some way, and explain how they are.

First is Adele - “Rolling in the Deep”, overused I know, but I was writing a crucial scene (No spoilers!!) that’s super emotional and my iPod’s random feature decided to play that. And i just started writing up a STORM! So that one is connected to that scene. 

Second is Kerli - “Walking on Air”, I feel the slightly spooky and magical feeling of the song overall sets the tone of what I’m writing. I listened to it when I was drafting the first scene and it just set the pace for everything.

So I’m making this wonderful fictional town for my NaNo.

I’ve created the houses, a mansion, stores, etc etc.

Did a google search just for reference images to stare at while writing….

Day 4 - What genre is your novel?  Why did you pick it?

Supernatural Drama/Horror/Cop Drama/ idk a buncha shit.

I picked it because I’m a comedy writer. That’s just what I do. Dramatic stuff is something that challenges me and i love supernatural. So I figured WHY NOT!

Greetings, I’m Zuri Taylor. I’m a telepath and long time resident of Empire Valley. Pretty much money is all that matters to me. I don’t care one way or another about humanity and all my general pursuits are to maintain my fortune.
